Affiliated to Malankara Jacobite Syrian Sundayschool Association, St. Thomas Sunday School Attarikom possess a rich history of struggles and survivals. Without the support of a parent church, this institution stood as the heartthrobe of the children from the christian families of Attarikom. The growth of the sundayschool from zero to great heights is a history that must be written in golden scripts.

 

Sunday school was conducted in the Youth League library building for long time with limited space and facilities. Most of the classes were taken outdoors, which was challenging during the rainy season. Teachers and students holding umbrellas while sitting in the class was a common sight during rain season. Within the limitations, the Sunday School was able to bag the award for the best Sunday school at the Akhila Malankara level Balakalothsavam three times, and the Champions at the Diocesan Level Balakalothsavam for 7 consecutive years.
